The only official GoPro dog mount — chest and back POV positions for dogs 15–120 lbs.
The GoPro Fetch is the official GoPro dog mount with two camera positions: chest (low-angle POV) and back (over-the-head perspective). It uses GoPro's standard 2-prong mount, making it compatible with every GoPro HERO model ever made. The harness fits dogs from 15 to 120 lbs with fully adjustable straps, and it's machine washable — a rarity for camera accessories. An included camera tether adds a safety backup against accidental detachment. For corgis and other short-legged breeds, the back mount is the clear winner — the chest mount sits too low and captures mostly ground. At $55, this is premium for a single-purpose harness with no MOLLE webbing or leash attachment. But the mount stability is excellent — far better than any DIY GoPro-to-harness adapter we've tested — and you're paying for genuine GoPro engineering.
The GoPro Fetch works because it uses the same 2-prong mounting system found on GoPro’s chest mounts, helmets, and accessories — a system that’s proven to hold cameras securely at high activity levels. The harness provides two mounting positions: chest (forward-facing, dog’s eye level) and back (over-the-shoulder, elevated perspective). Most owners prefer the back mount because it captures the dog’s head and the environment ahead, rather than ground-level footage from the chest position.
For short-legged breeds like corgis, dachshunds, or basset hounds, the back mount is almost always the better choice. The chest mount sits so low on these dogs that footage is mostly dirt and grass. The back mount puts the camera at a higher vantage point that shows the dog’s head bobbing and the trail ahead. For long-legged breeds, both positions work well depending on the shot you want.
Important limitation: the Fetch is a camera mount, not a walking harness. It has no leash attachment point. Most owners put the Fetch on over their dog’s regular harness or collar for leash walks, then remove the walking harness for off-leash footage. The included camera tether is a critical safety feature — always use it to keep the GoPro attached to the harness even if the mount loosens during rough play or water activities.
